Hurricane Katrina... God's Wrath

In the weeks since the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina, and to a lesser extent by Hurricane Rita, religous nuts around the world have been spouting off about how it was punishment for the United States because of one thing or another.
  • US homophobes claim that Katrina was punishment for gays celebrating Madi Gras.
  • Christian nut Pat Roberton claims that Katrina was punishment for legal abortions in the US.
  • Jewish nuts claims that Katrina was punishment for the Israeli withdrawl from the Gaza settlements.
  • Muslim nuts claim that Katrina was punishment for the US invasion of Iraq and Afganistan.
In particular, a Senior Kuwaiti official ran an article in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa claiming that ‘Katrina is a Wind of Torment and Evil from Allah Sent to This American Empire’. The Al-Qaeda Weekly Internet News Broadcast celebrated the U.S. Hurricanes.

I can't help but wonder of if the earthquake in Pakistan, that model of clean muslim living, will also be held up by these same idiots as God's divine punishment? Of course not. They will instead blame the US and the CIA for somehow causing it.

that is dumb... why do people care who to blame it on. we have more problems than who's fault it was. fix the problems there and stop pointing fingers at my god did this or his god said that. the truth is the one god did not make this happen. he let it happen. he did not make it happen. if it helps to have someone/something to blame. blame pollution. im not a tree hugger but the climate has changed dramatically because of pollutants like fuel emissions. there... now we all have something to blame. do we feel better? :-D
